Whether you spend this holiday with family, friends, or just you spending time with you, Thanksgiving can be a great opportunity to reflect on life’s many joys and practice gratitude for the good things that have happened throughout the year. (Or, it can simply be a great excuse to eat pie for breakfast - whatever floats your boat!)
We often focus on the feast at Thanksgiving, which is the main event. But that only starts at 3 or 4 pm! There is a whole earlier part of the day that we can spend before the feast (and football) begins!
Rather than falling into the normal gym and chores routine before the big Dinner, join us in some of our favorite Turkey Day Activities:
Turkey Trot
Running USA cites Thanksgiving as the most popular running day in America! Join a Turkey Trot is a great way to give back to your favorite charity - get that metabolism revved for the big feast, too! The X-over bag is a great Turkey Trot companion.
The small Agility bag, with the 3-point system will keep your bag secure and steady while you’re running or trotting along. There’s plenty of space for a water bottle, a towel and that piece of chocolate to give you that extra boost to cross the finish line!
Touch Football
Planning on watching the big game? How about starting a game of your own? Touch Football is a great way to stay active before the big meal. It’s also a fun way to get everyone in your family or Friends-giving group to move and connect with each other.
Pre-Turkey Hike
You know we love the great outdoors here at X-OVER USA, so it will come as no surprise that a pre-turkey hike is one of our favorite ways to start Thanksgiving Day. This is a great way to spend some time with the fuzzy members of your family, since we’re gonna bet they won’t be present at the dinner table! As always we bring along our functional X-over crossbody bag and pack it with a towel, snacks, water and of course doggie treats.
What do you do on Thanksgiving Day to make it special? Whether you spend the day with friends, family or by yourself we hope you have a wonderful holiday. Make sure not to overindulge and while you’re enjoying the festivities make sure to bring your X-Over bag with you. Might come in handy to bring some leftovers home :)
